Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Any content on the event app that is considered in breach of the general code of conduct, or deemed spam, advertising, trolling, etc shall be removed by the organisers without warning. Any repeat offenders shall have their access reduced or revoked. Any activity of that kind at the event may lead to exclusion from the event without refunds.

The Quick Version
Our community conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of community members in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference environment, including talks, workshops, parties, and online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.

The Less Quick Version
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces and virtual environments, uninvited meeting disruptions, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Our sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Physical and virtual environment booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

Please don’t spam attendees. Wir sind Ohana would not be possible without our sponsors and they are eager to bring positive attention to their products and services. We also know that aggressive unwanted advertising is a form of harassment. While our conference will be attended by many people interested in learning about products and services related to their work, we will not tolerate uninvited advertising messages in chat channels or other settings.

Attendees, including sponsors, who wish to talk about their products and services are free to do so at their booths, when asked direct questions, or other similar occasions when it is clear that people are actively interested in the discussion. All discussions of products and services should have the aim of helping everyone in the community make the best selections for their situation.

The definition of inappropriate advertising messages is at the sole discretion of the organisers. We will remove, without notice, spam messages in public areas, (including Linkedin links) and attendees who repeatedly post unwelcome messages may be warned and/or removed from the conference by the organisers.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact one of the London’s Calling organisers immediately. At a physical event the London’s Calling organisers can be identified as they’ll be wearing branded clothing. For a virtual event email the organisers directly using: info@londonscalling.net.

The organisers will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.

We value your attendance and participation in our community.

We want to make this event as sustainable as we can make it so we would like so please be responsible for the environment at the event.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference environments and conference-related social events.

Our code of conduct is based on the examples that Nonprofit Dreamin and London’s Calling set.
